Bases in five continents

The Freyssinet Group is organised in geographical zones around the world. This world network has strong local roots, with 80 bases in more than 50 countries.

A dynamic of innovation

The Freyssinet Group was behind many innovations that have marked the world of civil engineering: stay cables, suspension cables, materials regeneration, soil reinforcement and improvement, and repair and maintenance of structures.

Locally Freyssinet have carried out many projects in the Middle East over the past 50 years. More recently, a Local Company was opened in Abu Dhabi in 1998, Dubai in 2000 and both in Sharjah and Doha in 2004.

Qatar

Several projects have been secured in Qatar over the years. The Reinforced Earth walls on the Jaidah Flyover we supplied by Reinforced Earth Co in the early 80?s followed by several similar projects for the Military. In 2003 Techspan? Bridges with Reinforced Earth Walls were constructed working with Atlas on the Northern Relief Road followed by similar structures on the Umm Babb Dukkan highway in 2002 and in 2004 on the Umm Babb Salwa Road both projects with Gulfa. On the Umm Babb Salwa Highway Post Tensioning was also supplied for bridge beams. In 2004 work is progressing on Bridge Post Tensioning and Reinforced Earth Walls on the Salwa Road project with United Engineers Malaysia.

Building Post Tensioning was carried out in 2004 on the Mercedes Car Showroom.

The Menard Soil Improvement Division have improved the Soil in Ras Laffan, on several separate projects working with Enel Power, Fisia and CCC. The techniques employed have been Dynamic Compaction, Dynamic Replacement and Stone Columns used in different combinations on the

Common Water Cooling and Desalination projects.
Work has been secured on the Pearl. Menard has a contract to improve some of the reclaimed land.

Doha office is managed locally from the Dubai office.

Dubai has responsibility within the Freyssinet Group for the whole of the Middle East .
